Three haumana (students) of Kupua‘e, Papakōlea Summer Youth Program, received awards from Ke Kula Kaiapuni ‘o Ānuenue today. Teuila Tuasivi received the Po‘okela Award for academic excellence and appropriate behavior. Kysyn Kauahipaula-Guerrero-Wilson and Kape‘a Perez received the Kilohana Award for demonstrated effort and significant progress. Ho‘omaika‘i (Congratulations) to our keiki of Papakōlea.

Kupua‘e, the Papakōlea Summer Youth Program, is a program of the Papakōlea Community Development Corporation, established in 2016 to serve keiki, ages 3-7, through Hawaiian language- and culture-based programming.
