DESCRIPTION:The 2nd Annual Papakōlea Pāʻina is scheduled for Saturday\, 
 August 12\, 2017\, and confirmed artists are Keauhou\, Kuana Torres Kahele
 \, Pōmaika‘i Lyman\, and more.  The Pāʻina is a timely celebration w
 ith Keauhou\, a fresh new trio comprised of Kahanuola Solatorio\, Nicholas
  Lum\, and Zachary Lum\, earning nine awards for their debut album at the 
 40th Annual Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards Celebration on May 20th.\n\nThe eve
 nt will be held on Saturday\, August 12\, 2017\, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
  at the Papakōlea Community Park.  The theme\, E Nānā I Ke Kumu\, is r
 epresentative of our practices in Papakōlea - taking the ʻike (knowledge
 ) of our kūpuna (ancestors)\, and sharing it with others\, so our present
 -day practices remain authentic and vibrant.  Last year\, the Pāʻina se
 rved as a fundraiser for Mrs. Pōmaika‘i Lyman\, 2016 Mrs. Hawaii Intern
 ational\, in her bid for the international title. This year\, the 2nd Annu
 al Papakōlea Pāʻina proceeds will support the Papakōlea Community Scho
 larship Program.\n\nThe celebration will include LIVE entertainment by man
 y other notable artists and hālau hula.  The Papakōlea Community Develo
 pment Corporation (PCDC) will be selling pre-sale event tickets that will 
 include an ‘ono Hawaiian plate and complete court access to the concert.
  Activities include kūpuna korner\, a keiki zone\, cultural demonstration
 s\, and vendor booths. Tickets prices are as follows:\n\n$20 - Tickets pur
 chased in June\;\n$25 - Tickets purchased in July\;\n$30 - Tickets purchas
 ed in August\; and\n$10 - Tickets for keiki under 12 years of age.\n\nClic

 ōlea Community Development Corporation (PCDC) is a 501(c)3 community-base
 d nonprofit\, established in 1999\, to serve as a steward of the Papakōle
 a Community Park and Center\, and provide the residents of the Papakōlea\
 , Kewalo\, and Kalāwahine\, with a full range of comprehensive services.
     PCDC is coordinating this event with the support of Kula No Nā Po
 ‘e Hawai‘i\, another community-based nonprofit that exists to provide 
 educational and health services to the residents of the Hawaiian Homestead
  communities of Papakōlea\, Kewalo\, and Kalāwahine\; and the Genoa Keaw
 e Foundation\, a nonprofit established\, in honor of the late Papakōlea c
 ommunity member and legendary Hawaiian musician\, to preserve and promote
