Papakōlea homestead community ties for 2nd place Float in the 100th Annual King Kamehameha Day Floral Parade on June 11, 2016.  In 11 short days, community leaders designed a concept, coordinated resources and built a beautiful float highlighting cultural activities alive and vibrant in our community. This is the first float entered in nearly a decade.  A huge mahalo to the leaders, contributors and community that made our participation a huge success.
