Kuapapa a Uakaniko`o

The Papakōlea Community/School garden project converted an underused school area to be used as an outdoor classroom where students and community will learn about native plants, ecology, and environment. The Papakōlea community/school garden partners Kula no na Po'e Hawaii with R. L. Stevenson Middle and Abraham Lincoln Elementary schools. The garden is home to many native plants. The garden is divided into three sections for community, Stevenson, and Lincoln.

Garden Cleanup In August members from the Papakōlea gathered at the garden for a cleanup and beautification effort. This was in preperation for the Ho'olauna, 70th Anniversary of the Papakōlea Homestead.
