Leap N4 Fun
Introduction to Community
Mahalo to the organizations and volunteers who
made the day a success!
Kick
off for the Ku'Ike program, a partnership of community and school
to improve
the literacy of Keiki.

Parents and Keiki are
introduced to reading, math and
science programs from the
Leap Frog educational system.

Keiki get a "hands on"
try with the Leap Pad reader.

Ku'Ike partners community and the Lincoln Elementary
School. Students learn from Lincoln Elementary teachers on
the Leap Pad system, completing questions while earning points for
carnival prizes.

Leap Pad also has programs for teens, with math
curricula appropriate
for their age and grade.

Leap Frog curriculum includes audio and visual
cues reinforcing learning.

Leap Pad can be used to reinforce learning
provided by parents.

Dr. Dominic Chow answers questions on asthma,
Ku'Ike partners with the University
of Hawaii School of Medicine to address all factors that may
impede a child's educational
progress.

Puni ran the final station, asking kids to solve
a problem with the Leap Pad system.
Once the kids completed all of the Leap Pad learning stations,
they had access to fun
activities at the carnival.


Keiki getting their face painted, mahalo to
community and school volunteers.

Pop corn and hot dogs were free to all
participants.


Balloon art and animals were made for all
participants.
